The PE and Sport Premium is an additional government subsidy which funds sustainable improvements to PE and sport for primary pupils.
Funds are used to improve teaching quality, provide new equipment, and enhance after-school sports clubs.
We publish our spending and impact annually, ensuring parents understand
our PE provision.
Our Aim
At WIJPS, we believe that PE and sport are integral to a healthy lifestyle. We support the government’s drive to tackle obesity by providing diverse, enjoyable activities through our curriculum. We deliver at least two hours of quality PE each week, following the key areas of the PE National Curriculum.

Competition
Competition is an important part of life. Children are introduced to competition within different areas of the curriculum and also the social responsibilities that arise through competition.
Children may gain a good knowledge and understanding of sport even if they may not be a naturally gifted sports person. In addition to this our sporting teams play other schools in various matches throughout the year.
